[News] Foxconn Reportedly Secures the Lion’s Share for NVIDIA’s GB300, with New Products Set to Debut in 1H25

As NVIDIA is gradually ramping up AI servers based on the B200 and GB200 platforms, the U.S. chip giant is expected to unveil its next-gen GB300 AI server product line at the GTC conference in March, 2025. According to a report from the Economic Daily News, NVIDIA has preliminarily finalized the order allocation for GB300, with Taiwan’s Foxconn securing the lion’s share.

The Economic Daily News further notes that Foxconn’s product featuring NVDIA’s GB300 is expected to hit the market in the first half of 2025, outpacing other global competitors. The group’s highly vertically integrated resources could be why NVIDIA opts it as the top choice for handling its GB300 AI server orders, the report suggests.

While NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang hinted that the company aims to introduce a new version of its flagship AI chips per year, and GB300’s debut is imminent, key supply chain members led by Taiwan’s Foxconn and Quanta are said to have already entered the development and design phase for the product, as noted by the report.

Taiwanese suppliers involved in the GB300 supply chain declined to comment, the report adds.

According to the report, in addition to Foxconn’s role in the GB200 supply chain, which includes chip modules and assembly, it has also ventured into new areas such as liquid cooling systems and connectors, with related validations underway.

The report notes that in the case of the GB200, Foxconn supplies approximately 80% to 90% of the components, excluding the GPU and CPU.

Supply chain analysts cited by the report pointed out that Foxconn has invested heavily in early development for NVIDIA’s AI servers. The partnership between the two companies are understood to be dated back to before 2017, with Foxconn collaborating closely with NVIDIA to develop new products, from the first-generation AI servers to the current GB200 and GB300, the Economic Daily News report adds.

Industry insiders told the Economic Daily News that Taiwan’s Quanta and Inventec are key partners for NVIDIA’s GB300, as well. In terms of order allocation, Quanta ranks second only to Foxconn as the second-largest supplier, while Inventec has also significantly increased its share compared to the GB200 generation, as noted by the report.
