This year’s CES spotlights artificial intelligence (AI) as a central theme, showcasing its applications in autonomous vehicles, PCs, smart homes, wearables, healthcare, and next-generation televisions. Under the theme “Dive In to the Future,” the event emphasizes AI’s seamless integration into everyday life.

According to TrendForce, there are two significant AI trends that can be seen at CES 2025. First, as autonomous driving technology continues to evolve, AI is playing a pivotal role in enhancing automated controls and obstacle detection, making vehicles increasingly intelligent and safer. Second, CES remains a key platform for PC manufacturers to showcase new innovations, and AI-integrated PCs like Copilot+ PCs and devices equipped with Neural Processing Units (NPUs) are notable highlights. They dramatically enhance data processing speeds and boost work efficiency.

Beyond these trends, AI is also being widely incorporated into other domains. In next-generation televisions, TVs with AI chips are expected to elevate viewing experiences. In healthcare, technologies like AI Doc and neuroClues help disease prediction and diagnostic accuracy. Meanwhile, in smart homes, AI enhances convenience by interpreting voice commands and automating home management systems.

At CES 2025, HERE Technologies, a leading company in location technology and spatial intelligence, showcased AI-enabled vehicles and Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) solutions. In addition, Intel’s autonomous driving subsidiary, Mobileye, unveiled a range of solutions aimed at enhancing road safety and advancing autonomous mobility. Mobileye’s exhibits featured a spectrum of technologies, from foundational to advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), leveraging REM mapping for cloud-based enhancements. They also introduced Surround ADAS, a comprehensive safety solution offering a 360-degree view system.

Notably, the Mobileye SuperVision platform provides non-intrusive driving support, while the Mobileye Chauffeur system offers fully autonomous driving without requiring manual vehicle inspection. Designed specifically for Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS), Mobileye Chauffeur represents a complete automated driving solution.

2. AI PC Innovations: Enhanced Performance and User Experience

TrendForce notes that in 2024, Intel, AMD, and Qualcomm launched chips with more powerful NPUs, while Microsoft expanded its investment in AI PCs through the Copilot+ initiative, significantly driving the adoption of advanced AI features and upgraded specifications in PCs, such as PCs with at least 16GB RAM.

This capability is essential for enabling real-time decision-making and enhancing responsiveness. According to TrendForce, as more enterprises incorporate edge computing into their IT infrastructure, localized processing will play a critical role in shaping the future performance and capabilities of AI PCs.
