The NAND market seems to be finally seeing a turnaround. According to Commercial Times and TechNews, U.S. memory makers like Micron and SanDisk have decided to kick off price hikes next month, with SanDisk set to raise NAND prices by over 10% starting April 1.

In addition, South Korean memory giants like Samsung and SK hynix may not be far behind, as industry sources suggest they’re also gearing up to raise NAND wafer prices next month.

According to SanDisk’s announcement cited by the reports, the U.S.-based NAND company—now independent after splitting from Western Digital—expects the industry to soon shift to a demand-surpassing-supply scenario. Additionally, rising tariffs have further driven its decision to increase prices.

The trend echoes with TrendForce’s latest findings, which anticipate a significant improvement in the market’s supply-demand balance in the second half of the year.

Key factors contributing to this shift include proactive production cuts by manufacturers, inventory reductions in the smartphone sector, and growing demand driven by AI and DeepSeek applications, as highlighted by TrendForce. These elements are expected to alleviate oversupply and support a price rebound for NAND Flash, TrendForce notes.
