[News] What’s Next for NVIDIA? Key Expectations for GTC 2025

NVIDIA’s annual GTC conference kicks off on March 18, featuring a keynote from CEO Jensen Huang. According to TechNews, citing Yahoo Finance, here’s what to expect at NVIDIA GTC 2025.

Unveiling the GB300 AI Chip

The TechNews report states that CEO Jensen Huang is expected to unveil NVIDIA’s latest flagship AI chip, the GB300, at GTC 2025. As an upgraded version of the existing Blackwell chip, the chip is designed to deliver a notable performance boost, further accelerating AI model training and execution. Meanwhile, Wccftech highlights that the new GPU is expected to feature 288GB of HBM, utilizing HBM3e 12-high stacking technology for enhanced speed and efficiency.

Next-Generation GPU Platform: Vera Rubin

In addition, NVIDIA may also discuss its next-generation GPU platform, Vera Rubin, at GTC 2025, positioning it as the successor to the Grace Blackwell superchip and its most powerful AI processor, according to Yahoo Finance.

CPO Technology: A Key Highlight

According to Wccftech, NVIDIA’s Co-Packaged Optics (CPO) technology roadmap is expected to be another major highlight. CPO is designed to boost bandwidth, reduce latency, and lower power consumption. However, as noted in the report, implementing CPO at the GPU level still presents significant technical challenges; therefore, a wide adoption of CPO might only be expected in 2027.

Quantum Computing: A Growing Focus

Quantum computing is set to be another major focus at GTC 2025, as noted by TechNews. March 20 will mark NVIDIA’s first-ever Quantum Day, where CEO Jensen Huang will join industry leaders from D-Wave Systems, IonQ, and Rigetti to discuss the current state of quantum computing and its future direction.

As reported by Yahoo Finance, Jensen Huang stated in January that practical quantum computers are still 15 to 30 years away from becoming a reality. However, Amazon, Microsoft, and Google have recently introduced their own quantum computing chips, further fueling interest and advancements in the field.

In addition to the key highlights mentioned above, TechNews indicates that NVIDIA GTC 2025 is also expected to showcase robotics technology, agentic AI, and advancements in autonomous driving.
