Mobile LED Market in Backlight, Flash, and Proximity in 2016
Continually Shrinking Production Value:
Mobile phone backlight has a relatively larget market scales, but the usage volume per set is less, 0.6T and 0.4T suffered sharp price decline, resulting in a substantial decrease in production value of mobile backlight LED, gradually follow in the footsteps of large-size backlight, the market value has to rely on the support of Flash LED, which accounting for more than 50% of mobile LED.
Growing Chinese Market:
Like TV supply chain gradually expanded in China, the familiar scene also occurred in the mobile phone field, Huawei rapidly rose in 2015 to be the top three mobile phone manufacturers around the world, Chinese manufacturers have took up 40% of the global mobile phone shipments, eroded the market share of Samsung, the market shares of brand manufacturers are expected to change in the next few years, and the expansion of Chinese terminal market is bound to be accompanied by change in supply chain.
Three-in-one Sensor becomes the Standard Requirement:
The requirements for proximity sensor applied in mobile phones are high accuracy in operation, energy-efficient and so on. At present, IR LED and IR Laser are mostly applied. Combining ambient light sensor, proximity sensor and IR LED, three-in-one optical sensing technology becomes the standard requirement of major international phone brands, and Chinese phone brands also gradually follow this trend.
