After confirming to build Panther Lake with its own 18A node, Intel may have more good news to be announced at the upcoming CES 2025. According to the reports from TechPowerUp and Wccftech, Team Blue is expected to highlight on AI features in its upcoming processor series at the event.

Notably, according to the agenda it releases on the website, this will mark the first time Intel’s new co-CEO, Michelle Johnston Holthaus, will lead the event alongside Jim Johnson, Senior VP of the Client Computing Group, while former CEO Pat Gelsinger will no longer be attending.

The company unveiled a preview image with the tagline “AI Inside for a New Era,” indicating that it will showcase advancements in AI processing capabilities embedded directly into its consumer processors, as per TechPowerUp. Here’s a quick roundup of what to expect:

Arrow Lake Lineup

The TechPowerUp report notes that Intel’s “AI Inside” messaging suggests that it is aiming to strengthen its position in the AI computing market, especially as PCs take on more AI workloads locally. Therefore, announcements on new Arrow Lake configurations are likely to take place.

According to TechPowerUp, Intel’s upcoming lineup is set to include the mobile-oriented “Arrow Lake” Core Ultra 200H/HX processors, as well as the Arrow Lake-based Core Ultra 200S series for desktops, available in 35W and 65W power configurations. The company is also expected to launch new mid-range and workstation-class 800-series processors for desktop platforms, the report adds.

GPU Update

On the other hand, in the graphics segment, there’s a possibility Intel could unveil additional Battlemage SKUs alongside the Intel Arc B850 GPU, as per Wccftech. In early December, Team Blue announced the new Intel Arc B-Series graphics cards (code-named Battlemage), featuring Intel Arc B580 and B570 GPUs engineered to accelerate AI workloads.

More Good News on 18A?

The Wccftech report also notes that other key updates from Intel may include news on Intel Foundry and a detailed update on the upcoming 18A process, which is set to be the division’s next major product.

According to a previous report from TechPowerUp, Intel has confirmed the upcoming Panther Lake, which will make debut in 2025, would be built on the node.

Citing Intel’s interim co-CEO Michelle Johnston Holthaus, the report notes that this marks the first time in quite a while that the company serves as “customer zero” for an Intel process, adding that Intel has distributed initial engineering samples (ES0) of Panther Lake to customers, and eight of them have powered on the chips.
