According to TrendForce’s latest memory spot price trend report, regarding DRAM, with year-end inventory checks being carried out, many buyers have halted procurement, with only sales of server RDIMMs remaining strong. As for NAND flash, overall spot market prices are maintained at a leveled state, though Samsung’s production cut has led to a small price increase in certain small-capacity MLC eMMC products. Details are as follows:

DRAM Spot Price:

With year-end inventory checks being carried out, many buyers have halted procurement, leading to a further reduction in transaction volumes. Sales of server RDIMMs are strong in the spot market. However, for chip products, including DDR4 and DDR5 chips, demand is sporadic and targets specific product models. No signs of improvement have been seen in the spot market. The average spot price of mainstream chips (i.e., DDR4 1Gx8 3200MT/s) has increased by 0.55% from US$1.458 last week to US$1.466 this week.

NAND Flash Spot Price:

The spot market is also under severe challenges. Seeing how demand from the year-end traditional peak season did not perform as expected, suppliers are further lowering their prices to expedite on the reduction of inventory, which only aggravated market competitions as a result. Some suppliers have started acquiring orders at a compromise on prices in the hope of stabilizing market prices, and managed to put a temporary stop to the continuously declining prices. Additionally, Small-capacity MLC eMMC that is now under shortages due to Samsung’s production cut has led to a small increase in prices for 8-32GB products, though overall spot market prices are maintained at a leveled state. Spots of 512Gb TLC wafers dropped by 0.20% this week, arriving at US$2.480.
