At CES 2025, BOE and its subsidiary, BOE Varitronix, presented a series of new products and announced cutting-edge smart cockpit technologies under the “HERO” initiative.
LCD Innovations: BOE introduced its high-end UB Cell intelligent display, featuring a 3000:1 contrast ratio, ultra-low reflectivity of 0.7%, and up to 95% BT.2020 color gamut.
Flexible OLED: BOE launched a 31.6-inch spliced rollable automotive display that transitions between 31.6 inches and 17.6 inches. Other global firsts included foldable and bendable automotive displays such as the 15.05-inch motorized folding screen and a 17-inch curved “breathable” central control screen.
Mini LED (MLED): The company unveiled a 31.5-inch 4K glass-based active Mini LED display using α-MLED technology, boasting a contrast ratio of over a million, brightness of 1000 nits, 144Hz refresh rate, and 99% DCI-P3 color gamut.
Automotive Displays: BOE showcased a panoramic HUD smart cockpit with a 44.8-inch PHUD spanning screen integrating oxide technology and Mini LED backlighting with 2,850 fine zones. Other highlights included a 17.3-inch ultra-thin ceiling-mounted screen and a 15.05-inch flexible OLED Edge 3D central control display.
Entertainment Displays: Collaborating with partners like Lenovo and Thunderobot, BOE introduced several globally leading eSports displays, including a naked-eye 3D gaming handheld console with an 11-inch 2.5K 120Hz screen and proprietary 3D display and eye-tracking technology.

Samsung made waves at CES 2025 by debuting an 18.1-inch foldable IT OLED.
Foldable Displays: The new product offers a screen size of 13.1 inches when folded and 18.1 inches when unfolded.
Sliding OLEDs: Samsung showcased two horizontally sliding OLEDs—“Slidable Flex Duet” (8.1 inches to 12.4 inches) and “Slidable Flex Solo” (13 inches to 17.3 inches)—as well as a vertically sliding “Slidable Flex Vertical” display (5.1 inches to 6.7 inches).
Automotive Displays: Samsung debuted an 18.1-inch bendable CID that adapts to the car’s interior in autonomous mode and expands when parked for additional information display.
QD-OLED TVs: Samsung unveiled its 2025 QD-OLED TV lineup with a brightness exceeding 4000 nits, representing a 30% improvement from the previous year.

Innolux showcased the industry’s first Color-Conversion “106-inch AM-MicroLED Modular Display.” This product features a pixel pitch (≤P0.6mm) and uses color-conversion MicroLED seamless modular technology, allowing for customizable sizes ranging from 12.3 inches to 220 inches.
Additionally, Innolux unveiled the world’s first “9.6-inch MicroLED Smart Mirror Display,” which boasts ultra-high brightness (1200 nits), a million-to-one contrast ratio, a high color gamut (120% NTSC), excellent reflectivity, and energy-saving features.
In the field of Mini LED display technology, Innolux introduced its latest “17.3-inch and 23.8-inch Mini LED Outdoor Displays”. These displays utilize efficient micro-LED matrix technology, offering strong sunlight visibility, low power consumption, high brightness, high contrast, and a wide color gamut.
Moreover, Innolux displayed its “14-inch QHD+ Ultra-Slim Panel,” which combines a lightweight design with vibrant colors, reducing module weight and featuring 100% DCI-P3 wide color gamut technology.
In the automotive display sector, Innolux is leveraging liquid crystal dimming technology to capture market attention. Its “Smart Dimming Sun Visor” adjusts the visor’s transparency in real-time based on external light intensity.
In the 3D display domain, Innolux showcased its “27-inch Eye-Tracking Gaming Monitor,” which utilizes N3D display technology to effectively address dizziness issues caused by prolonged use.
