This led to a less-than-expected business performance for LED manufacturers in general. According to the LED Industry Demand and Supply Data Base report by LEDinside , a division of TrendForce , LED packaging revenue in 2018 reached US$ 18.4 billion, a mere growth of 3.1 % over 2017.
According to DRAMeXchange , a division of TrendForce , the global server market is predicted to continue growing in 2019, but under the pressures of business cycles and worldwide uncertainty, this year's server shipment growth has shrunk slightly compared to 2018, coming to 3.9%.
According to the latest Regional Project Report – “Solar Powering Taiwan: Special Report ” by EnergyTrend , a division of TrendForce , new installations in the Taiwan's PV system market may reach 1.58GW in 2019. If 2020 sees 2GW worth of new installations, then the Bureau of Energy, Ministry of Economic Affairs may reach their set goal to accumulate 6GW in new installations by 2020. Among Taiwan's EPC suppliers ranked for 2018, Chailease Energy takes the lead and boasts a market share of 10%.
Global research institute TrendForce asserts in its latest Global Automotive Market Decode for 1Q report that the global automotive market scale is predicted to reach 94.4 million in shipments 2019, a 0.8% decrease compared to 2018. Despite this drop in market scale, car manufacturers are hoping to spur market development by turning to the electric vehicle market. Electric vehicle shipments are predicted to arrive at 5.15 million in 2019, reaching a YoY growth of 28%. YoY growth of new energy vehicles alone ( excluding hybrid electric vehicles) is expected to hit 51%.
