Intense competition among TV panel brands buoyed global shipment growth in October, which increased at a 10.2% annual clip, according to WitsView, a division of the Taiwan-based market intelligence firm TrendForce. Monthly growth was still positive, but more modest. In October, TV panel shipments grew at 0.2% to 22.55 million units compared to September. Monitor panels rose 2.9% to 13.73 million units.
Major lighting brands in the China lighting market are active in the e-commerce market and expanding online channels, according to a new research report by LEDinside, a division of the Taiwan-based market intelligence firm TrendForce. Competition is fierce in the burgeoning China online market. The top four brands in terms of market share are Opple, NVC, Philips and Aozzo.
The consumer electronics market has been go-go in November because of the many sales promotions this month, notably China’s Double 11 (November 11) shopping holiday, which earned NT 270 billion dollars in revenue.
