WitsView indicates a possible panel price rise in February

Taipei, January 20, 2009---According to WitsView, with the panel prices in the three main applications staying flat in 2HJan, the likelihood of prices hitting bottom in Jan or Feb has greatly increased. This has spurred downstream clients to prepare their inventory.

Taipei, January 16, 2009---According to WitsView’s survey, worldwide large-size panel shipments reached 25.15 million units in December 2008, down slightly by 2.6% MoM. On a YoY basis, they slumped by 23.9%. Although the general end market demand remained uncertain, a stronger pull-in effect occurred during December.

Taipei, January 13, 2009---  DRAM chip price has plunged since 2007 and suffered loss for almost seven consecutive quarters. WW DRAM vendors have lost 10 billion USD in 2007 and 2008, among this Taiwanese vendors stands 4.2 billion USD.
