According to DRAMeXchange, a research division of TrendForce, memory card and UFD retail sales were weak during the Chinese New Year period. As downstream clients’ inventory levels are sufficient for the time being, most clients are not eager to increase purchase volume post-Chinese New Year.

According to DRAMeXchange, a research division of TrendForce, although 2GB DRAM contract price stayed flat in 1HFeb., highest price did not exceed US$9.5. However, many deals were concluded at higher price ranges, and highest 4GB module price jumped from US$17.25 in 2HJan. to US$18 in 1HFeb.

WitsView: LCD Monitor Shipments Projected To Fall by 3% ~ 5% QoQ in First Quarter of 2012

According to the Top Ten Monitor Brand and SI Shipment Survey by WitsView, a research division of Trendforce, both segments experienced shipment declines in 4Q11. Specifically, brand shipments fell by 4.7% QoQ and 7% YoY. Meanwhile, SI shipments slipped by 5.1% QoQ and 12% YoY.
